Family Fun With World Heritage

Welcome! The World Heritage Pointer features some of this planet's most fascinating places, the World Heritage Sites, through the fictional travel adventures of a dog named Sonya.

This website and its e-zine (electronic newsletter) are a fun way to learn about the wildlife, geography, nature, history and cultures of these extraordinary places. They're also a great way for you and your children or grandchildren to share time together on the computer. Plus you can print them out if you prefer to read the episode and do the word matches in a comfy, non-computer setting.

While you explore this e-zine and website together, you can:
  • Read the story. It's fiction based on fact about a World Heritage Site that we have visited.
  • Do the Word Match. This helps the children understand the story's vocabulary and learn new words.
  • Discuss the Contest. You can help your children plan their contest entry.
  • View maps of the site's location. This expands the children's knowledge of geography.
  • Learn more about this World Heritage Site. Go to Sonya's Picks for her website recommendations.
The welfare and security of our young readers is paramount to us. Please read about our precautions and policies by following this link. The information requested to subscribe to the free newsletter is minimal.

We wish you many hours of fun interaction with your young ones while exploring the world with Sonya, the World Heritage Pointer!

Sincerely,
Rose & David Muenker
